Michael joined Centerfield in 2007. He is responsible for investor relations, overseeing due diligence, executing transactions, and portfolio management. Michael also assists with managing general activities of the firm. Michael is a member of the Partnership’s Investment Committee.
Michael has 20+ years of experience in private equity and corporate finance. Prior to Centerfield, Michael spent eight years at Eli Lilly and Company in a variety of financial and business development roles. Most recently, Michael worked in Lilly’s Corporate Strategy and Business Development group where he was actively involved in the firm’s mergers and acquisitions efforts.
Michael holds an undergraduate degree in business administration from Hanover College and an MBA in general management from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Indiana. Michael is actively involved in the community, including serving as a Member of the Board of Governors of the Economic Club of Indiana and on the Finance Committee of the Indiana Sports Corp Board of Directors.
Outside of the office, Michael and his wife, Kristin, can be found shuttling their three sons from one sport to the next. When not on the run, Michael can be found in a basketball gym, coaching his sons and providing well-intentioned, but not always welcomed, guidance to referees.
